Why STEM?
With rapid digital growth catalysed by Artificial Intelligence (AI), the World Economic Forum (WEF) estimates that by 2025, over 97 million new roles may emerge in areas such as AI, data science, and cloud computing, but there could be shortages of qualified talent. Furthermore, the UNESCO Science Report indicates that worldwide demand for science and engineering professionals is growing faster than the available labour pool, with a 6% annual growth. Despite this, student interest in STEM is still on the decline, causing the rate of growth in STEM education to not match the demand for STEM jobs, especially in fields like AI, data science, software engineering, and renewable energy.

History of MIT
At MITstem, we believe that a good education is not just about exam results. In collaboration with ACE EdVenture Group, our curriculum incorporates the ACE EdVenture Approach – where we take Experienced and Qualified people from the World of Work, and provide them with teacher training. That way, all teachers are not only able to teach content, but more importantly, put that content into real world context, so the understanding and knowledge gained by students has Real Relevance in the world of work. So when students get to the world of work they hit the ground running, because we close the gap.
