MITstem International School

MITstem International School is the 1st STEM school in Malaysia providing a combination of Academic IGCSE and STEM curriculum to gear our students for the 21st century technological challenges. It was launched by MIT Academy group of companies in 2019. MIT Academy Sdn Bhd was founded in 1976 under the name of Cosmopolitan Business Agencies. It started as a rattan manufacturing company which subsequently diversified into corporate training and consultancy and HRDF apprenticeship programme.

At MITstem, we believe that a good education is not just about exam results. We incorporate STEM curriculum emphasizing on 4Cs – Critical Thinking, Collaborative, Communication and Creativity Skills by preparing and training our students for World Skills Competition, World Young Inventors, Young Innovator Challenge (YIC), MakeX Starter & Challenge MBot, Mathematics and Essay Competition. Besides, we offer a wide array of extracurricular activities, including day trips, library visit, after school clubs, sports competition like dodge ball, basketball, swimming and badminton with a colorful array of school and inner-school events designed to develop students at all levels including a maker space for creativity and social development

MIT Academy Group Milestone

MIT Academy Sdn Bhd was founded in 1976 under the name of Cosmopolitan Business Agencies. It started as a rattan manufacturing company, which subsequently diversified into corporate training and consultancy in 1989 and HRDF apprenticeship programme in 2007.

The company holds various educational licenses and accreditation by Department of Skill Development (DSD), under the Ministry of Human Resources No. L01956 License, Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) License No. 647236A, City & Guilds (UK), Cambridge Assessment International Education (UK) and Pearson (UK). We have successfully conducted fully funded training programmes under Inbase, Indcert, Generate, Minimum Wages, Outplacement Centre (1MOC), Future Workers Training and Apprenticeship Programme. To date, MIT group has provided training and education to almost 5,000 students and workplace trainees in Malaysia.

Our landmark success was in 2011 when MIT Academy group has collaborated with SeGI College to train 3,000 teachers from Vietnam on various skills training and development of Vietnam National Occupational Skills Standards (VNOSS).

With our strong affiliation with key industry associations, the Ministry of Education had appointed MIT Academy as the 1st Private Technical College in 2012 offering the Malaysian technical Diploma programme for our PT3 graduate students for a 4-year engineering diploma course.

From year 2015 – 2017, MIT Academy was appointed by Omron, Bosch Rexroth, Fanuc, SMC, Mazak, Autodesk, Carey Training and America Welding Society as Licensed Training Centre, Licensed Technology Partner and Authorized Training Centre (ATC) to conduct technology courses for corporate trainees.
